Labonville's, but not full wrap. Work great for me. I've never tried full wrap chaps but I would imagine they get a little steamy come July. I'd gladly put up with a few scratches to stay a little cooler.

The length of 99% of chaps are measured from the top of the beltline and not the inseam. So I wear a 34" length in pants but a 40" length in chaps.

Now, that's clear as mud, right!

I have a pair of the 40"stihl pro chaps not full wrap I like them. According to the Stihl website they still have the full wrap zipper chaps.

I just ordered the Stihl zipper chaps. I appreciate all of the comments. Safety gear is important and it wonderful all of you are willing to share your thought and experience with the products on the market. That helps all that are looking for PPE that would work best for them. :handshake:

Here’s what I wear in cold weather. Brand is Foresterware. Thinsulate, so too warm for much of the year, but excellent in the cold. My one complaint is the Kevlar stops at the crotch of the pants, (and does not wrap around to the back of the leg).

Edit: full length chaps the rest of the year. An older coworker clipped his ankle wearing partial length chaps and cutting brush. He threw those away and impressed on me the need to get as much coverage as possible.

I used Swede Pro for nearly 20 yrs. They saved my leg a while back, cut across the top of my left thigh stopped the chain dead. GF brought a new pair of Husqvarna for Christmas....will try them in the spring.

The pants I am wearing in the avatar are Husqvarna chainsaw pants. They are very comfortable, have pouches on the legs for wedges, skrenches, what have you. The top pockets are zippered. Very warm in the winter with long johns on.

Chaps by definition are assless. That is what makes them chaps. Otherwise, they are called pants.

Now it begs the question: Do you frequent establishments where people of this persuasion often wear articles of said description?:zip:

I don't frequent bars anymore, however a guy I worked named "Booger" said that one of his buddies asked him one night, "why are you walking backwards with your pecker out" (while he was in front of a known gay establishment.)

Booger replied, " I am trolling".
