You nailed that one! I was thinking of when, as a child, I would get a pair of socks for a gift and think....well, you know! Now it's like.... SCORE!
Have read about them,,and very curious about the performance. Keep us updated when you have had a chance to get familiar with it.
I got (ordered) a Work Sharp Ken Onion addition sharpener. Should be here in a few days. I used one last week and was pretty impressed with the edge it made. And it was fast. Also got a very nice sawbuck from a member here at FHC. Had a great day with the family. And awesome supper last night.
Please let us know what you think! I desperately need a little sharpener like that and the price point of that one seems decent.
I wish I could take a picture of the edge and post it here. It looks perfect. I'm really hard on knives being in construction. And it brought this blade back to shave-your-arm sharp in minutes.

Ah Christmas and gifts. Perhaps the greatest gift my wife and I received this year is my life. As most know, we almost lost it a just a month ago and still fighting this thing. My lovely wife (ornery too) keeps telling me how grateful she is to see me in the house no matter what I am doing; even if laying down sleeping (which I seem to have acquired a habit of doing lately). Then there is the gift that so many hoarders gave to us and one day these guys show up not only to present the gift on behalf of FHC but also to do some needed work! Above, from left to right: Armbru84, Barcroftb, amateur cutter, HDRock, Frank and Beans and Redneck. One can easily see that they not only were thirsty but hungry too! Also notice some tools. They mounted the snow blade onto the atv and also made good use of our tractor for moving firewood closer to the house (to help out my wife) and to also cut more and get some limbs out of the creek. Of course there were some other things we got for Christmas but the above is the most loving gift we could have received. Now if only we could figure out who sent this to us? To complete the Christmas day, we received a telephone call from both of our sons. They both live a long ways from us so it is difficult to get together as a family but the phone calls are nice. And our only great-granddaughter is now 6 years old.
