Not wood. But my Dad's 2500 Dodge w/ a Cummins hauls his camper like it's not there.

He asked me to take it about 4 miles down the road to my place. I thought it was about 9,000#. It's more like 12,500# with water, food, and gear. Put a whoopin on my little half ton EcoDiesel.

I need air bags if I ever tow it again. I really thought it broke or bent my frame. Found out it was just a little flex after I unhooked it.

I feel your pain! At times I'll use my dad's 1 ton dodge diesel and the difference is quite impressive over my half ton.

This is my second load of Pinion pine this winter..... All this wood is from trees that had blown over last February, we had a lot of rain and wind over 100 mph...... 65° f today unbelievable for this time of year and I was cutting at 7500'.

A good friend had some Ash stacked behind his house for a couple of years that he and I cut and stacked. He has a fire pit but doesn’t have a wood stove. I asked him if I could take the pile from his back yard and then he can have a never ending supply of fire pit wood as he needs it. We loaded it up today and I also took out the Christmas tree to toss in the pond for minnows this spring.

I don’t need to engage 4 wheel drive when I have the bed loaded down.

Thanks! OhioStihl the winch sure saves me packing the wood uphill.

It was around 9 degrees or so this evening. I unloaded the Ash from my truck and tossed in nice dry wood from my wood shed. Later in the week we will load the wood into the garage. That’s where I keep it to feed the stoves.
Unfortunately there are no pics of my evening work. It was so freakin cold my phone locked up after I tried to take a pic then shut down.

Started out cutting a little bit on an ash top, wanted to try out the peavey pickaroon I got for Christmas more than anything. Got over carrying the wood uphill in the snow pretty quickly.

So I changed gears and loaded up some that was already split and on flat ground and delivered it to a friend. Great day to be alive and out working! Single digit temps don't scare this wood hoarder indoors for the day.
