Merry Christmas everyone! White pine in the fireplace, and cherry & elm in the woodstove. The view out my front window, snowing pretty hard. IMG_20171225_14228.jpg

18* outside with a dusting of snow. Ash started the morning, now it's a load of all cherry. We will have the neighborhood smelling good on Christmas morning.

Rained all night and morning, switching to snow just as the tail end of the storm swung by and the northerly howling winds started bringing in the cold. Got about a quarter inch of snow coating everything just as the sun came out.

Cleaned out what little ashes were in the stove and got a fire going again.
White oak under some small white pine splits and kindling.
    IMG_0712.JPG

May as well stuff it. Gonna be cold for a week to ten days so shouldn't need any fire starting for a while. Added more white oak. Back in heat mode.

    IMG_0714.JPG

    Even cleaned the window. :salute:
