I've not been able to do squat for too long and it's about driving me nuts. Looking at the weather forecast we have some big time cold coming our way soon. That, and looking at all I've been asking my wife to do got to be too much today. I got the atv out of the barn and first went for a short ride around the property. Then I hooked onto the trailer and dug out some oak that we will need to burn next week. Got almost a trailer full and backed it up to the porch. That's when my body petered out. It's left uncovered and unloaded. Judy will take care of the rest of it. No, I did not take any pictures and I'm sure you will understand why. I do believe the healing is taking place and although I can't do much, this is a good start, I think. We'll wait and see what tomorrow brings now.
That's great! It's nice to get out once again and we're all glad that you're taking it slowly (I guess).
Gotta feel good to get out & do some stuff . May not seem like much , but you maxed out your body. That a big improvement! A good day
Don't over do it Dennis! Take it slow so you don' set yourself back. I know you hate to ask for help, but remember all the favors you have done for people in the past. It's your turn now.
Great to hear Dennis! Sounds like you did enough and should have stopped when you did. My wife is recovering from from foot surgery and that is exactly what her doctor keeps telling her; go ahead and use the foot, gently and if or when it hurts, that is the sign that you have used it enough and should back off for a while. It is going to take some time for the bones to knit, just like it is going to take some time for you to heal. Of course her condition is no where near as serious as your situation but the idea is the same I think- go ahead and do things as you are able but be aware of any pain or discomfort and back off for a while. Great to hear! Sounds like things are coming along for you! One thing though..... couldn’t you have started back at it with something a touch lighter like super dry poplar?
Glad to hear you're recuperating, and that you aren't pushing things. It is hard to concede that we're mortal, but sometimes it just has to be done to make sure we're ready for the next fight.
Good for you my friend, little by little. Just do what you can, when you can. That's exactly what I do, I know how you feel. I hope you get better soon, it happens slowly and it drives you nuts. I wish you the best, have a very Merry Christmas and be well!
