    My grandfather was the same way he had dimensa too and would go off the wall when he got sick. That’s no fun at all... Hopefully she is over the infection relatively fast..

    Scarfing down OJ and half a dozen hash browns, get busy in mom's basement for a few hours, cook 7 chicken burgers, then get mom at 1:30 and probably be busy running errands till 8-9 tonight. That'll wrap up a day off.....

    My mom has dementia also. She's on a finely calibrated dose of psych meds, but still acts up on occasion. Hospitals really bring out her paranoia. She's used to the nursing home now, which looks like a fancy hotel.

    Slept in this morning as we were up late last night. I think I am fighting off a cold. Four more days of work and THAT's it for this year. Two weeks off and I start the new year on Jan. 8. I am really having trouble getting going.
