And thinking about 2 years ago is exactly why we are hoping for a very gradual warmup this year. So far, so good.

My wife's birthday is March 15th. Two years ago we were sitting in the kitchen with the patio door open enjoying birthday cake and warm weather. Today...it's going to snow 8 inches and the winds are gusting over 40 mph. Closer to a blizzard than anything.
We had the boat in the water on Lake Erie and were Walleye fishing......... The Marina is still frozen over at this time.
My best bud is a boat guy. He looks forward to the short season in Maine, all year. Got a 28' old wood Hodgdon sailboat w/small diesel. He has a ball when the fat cats ooh and ahh over his baby. Guess it's a well known older boat. Went out with him a while back and enjoyed it. I'm not a boat guy, so when he laid her down in some decent wind… I could feel the pucker kick in… … we were hauling azz… !
What a sweet ride! I hook up with my friends and family on their boats. I have a kayak that I escape the world with. My avatar says it all.
