So glad I don't have to travel when I don't want to. I have no business being on the road went their are travel warnings. Age is taking its toll on me. Best I can do is work with it as it is. You stay safe and don't be afraid to pull off the road if it gets real bad.

Well, the Harmoan guys all say they'll burn anything & make heat ( I personally just think the stove ramps up the feed & air to make up for poor heat output pellets, costing more in the end), but give them a shot.

Thanks Larry it’s been blowing hard today. I just made it to where I am working today THANKFULLY it’s indoors! Unheated but out of the blasted wind! The roads are slow but doable right now so we wanna get in and out fast.

I’ll have a 2 hour drive home if the weather cooperates if not well... Deal with that tonight:whistle:

I hope you keep a few thing in your auto for "just in case" . After dark and the roads are white, it is so easy to get lost. Hell, I can't hardly see the road at night in those conditions. One of the reasons I don't go out after dark unless the roads are clear and dry. One thing you can say Pete my friend, is that when you get home, all covered with farm dirt, is the you have earned the right to set your butt down, kick off the shoes and have a beer or whatever it takes to relax for a bit. I used to work long hours, but I didn't have a long drive. 3 miles to work most of the time. It was common for me to work an extra shift once or twice a week. 16 on 7.5 off. Hardly enough time to feed the stove, the pets, my face, take shower and get a few z's before doing it again. At least once a month, I would go 14 days before a day off. My wife worked nights. Wasn't easy, but we paid our bills and raised 4 kids.
