    2- 10" x 10" x 10'
    And

    I usually test my saws/chains in red oak or sugar-maple because I have plenty of it available ... more than likely I will have to change the geometry of the cutters and rakers to get the best results in poplar ...

    How does poplar compare to silver maple? I have a few logs around the yard ... saw seemed to almost 2x speed thru vs red oak

    Pine will cut a little faster than poplar as will cotton wood , cotton wood contains a lot of silicon witch can be hard on those high $ chains and manual blades.
    Popular or aspen is the best for racing but sometimes you gotta use what you can get.

    stihl bar saw is matts first video before shawn took rakers down a little
    cannon bar my saw in second video
    third video is matts saw after shawn took rakers down
    i changed carb on matts since then and it helped
