I like the comment, (it must have been left outside in the rain before it was packaged and sent to TSC) Yep probably for 50 years or more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Fekin hell mate, im in the wrong bizness.... hmm Wild Turkey.. i hope the Rare Breed. Otherwise he defo gotta bargain.
I think the firewood would sell itself if you kiln dried it. There was a place in Fort Loudon (Fire Sticks) that kiln dries firewood. My brother talked to them about pricing for members of the FHC and they agreed on a price per cord if picked up at their site. That was in 2013. I don't think anyone ever bought any though. That's a steal. It's $11 at the grocery store near me, but in their defense it has a string handle stapled to the plastic wrap.
Sheesh! I know we are small town so I'm sure it gets more expensive. TurboDiesel how much per cord was it?
Poor? Don't consider us poor. Maybe frugal. Besides I love my wood hoarding. Gives me a work out and I don't have to pay the fees to go to the gym for a workout. That gives me a money making idea. "We cut wood. For a small fee I will give you your daily workout." I was raised middle income. My father was a plastering contractor. Back in the day, they didn't do much new build in the winter. We were money rich in the summer and come winter money was tight. Dad always burnt wood he cut, not so much for the heat but he loved a fire. My wife was raised dirt poor and squeezes the penny until Lincoln cries. When I met my wife in the late '70s, her mom still had an outhouse and heated her house with a coal stove. I have always worked for top paying companies in the area. I saw many co-workers that never had any money. The did have a big house, fancy cars, fancy boats and big RVs. When work would slow down they always were whining they didn't have money. I wonder why. We drove used cars, did have a small junk boat and a used junk camper at times. We lived frugally and within our means. We had always burnt a little wood. My big awakening came about 6 years ago. Our house is an old farmhouse that was converted to total electric. We got a 1 month electric bill for $600. Something had to be done. I hired a chimney company to install a stainless steel liner in an old chimney and install a used stove. Total cost, work and stove, was around $1600. Since then we have heated totally with wood, we get free in log form or trees cut from my own land. Electric bill runs $124 +/- $10 year round. I did buy a new stove last year and updated the install. ROI over 6 years is way ahead of the costs. Am I poor. I don't think so in the least.
That's it buddy, you're starting to come around! Pretty soon the only time you'll drink wine is when you're not drinking! Keep working on it....coffee is next!
Oh, I like my liquor. But I'll never quit wine. My wife got a really nice bottle of stag's leap petite syrah for her birthday from a friend. Man was that stuff good. Now coffee.... That stuff is disgusting.
