Day 1: in marsh for sika... No horns, but I took one of a few females for a boat ride home. Day 2: sat in my banks blind on one of my fields... Shot two does, one went into thick briars and will get her at first light. This big nanny ran back into woods and dropped before briars. I hate tracking in the dark, especially in briars, so much easier in day light. Its 30's tonight so she'll be fine.

I've never seen Sika before. They're related to elk according to what I've read. Pretty cool. Congrats on a successful hunt. Hows the meat compared to white tail?
Its horrible, no point in coming to hunt them Its 10x's better, very dark and rich, very comparable to high end beef. They have fat in the muscle unlike whitetail so it doesnt dry out.
