I agree Griz. March is right around the corner now. Still, I've seen March turn out to be one of the coldest months of the year before. I'll be surprised if we don't still have snow on April 1.

Heading back into several days of negative temps., so wood use is going back up......so is nat. gas use.
After the 1st, we're warming again, but still approx. 10° below average.
    I'll take it.
Agreed Dennis....it is still winter, after all.:)

I felt the need for a full load last night, so I filled the stove with mostly Maple and a couple pieces of Oak.
Got up to a nature call about 3:00 and the living room was almost 77°.
It's about 8:30 now, and the house is down to 69°.
    27-28° outside.
I even used a little pine in the stove yesterday. 1st time since October.
Supposed to hit 41° today, so wood use should drop again.

    That's just crazy talk.
    You need some sunshine.
Step away from the stove....you are too close to the stove.

Dave, we went to Lansing today and saw 50 degrees! Went through Owosso on the way home and as soon as we got north of town the temperature began dropping. Was 45 by the time we got home and Owosso was still registering 50 according to NOAA. We also notice as we go south the snow depth decreases a lot. Lucky bums.

Yeah buddy I'm burning one quarter of the wood I was burning.
Those below zero temps I was only getting 6 or 7 hours of good heat, So, many nights 5 or 6 hours of sleep is all I could get.
I haven't figured it out exactly yet but I definitely burnt less wood this year with the EPA stove.
Glad I made the switch from the smoke dragon.
After this season with the EPA stove I think I may actually know how to run it now :)
