....here at FHC! One of my favorite days of the year is upon us........the fire is crackling in the fireplace, the smell of turkey all through the house, the kids getting excited for the holidays....these are some of the many simple things I'm thankful for. Reflecting on the past year, our country had it's share of ups and downs, but one thing remains......we're a strong family, we keep our family values, and I'm very thankful for what The Lord has blessed me with. Not material things, but the irreplaceable things like my wife, my kids, my entire family and friends (many of them I consider family as well). Make sure you send up a prayer of thanks today for your non-material blessings, those are the only ones that really count. Took this picture yesterday over in the valley of some Amish cornstalk bundles, thinking of the hard work it took them to sow, grow and harvest that corn. The other pic was of Dodi and I on our way home from our 20th anniversary trip to Stinny's in Maine this past fall, in front of Mt. Washington in New Hampshire. We were like two young kids again on that trip, can't wait to do it again From our family to yours, have a very Happy Thanksgiving everyone, God Bless.
I’m very grateful for Scotty Overkill starting this site. We see the horror on the news nightly making you think the world is going to Hell. This small community lets us know that there is still a lot of goodness around. I’m also grateful for my loving and beautiful wife, our awesome daughter and the rest of our family. I’m also blessed with a great job and personal life. I’m 52 and this is the best I’ve ever felt! Not too shabby.
I'm also thankful for the many friendships made on this family FHC forum. Scotty Overkill always plays down his administrators role here, always giving credit to others, but I saw first hand how much attention he gives to it 24/7 as life goes along. During the 4 days he and his bride were here this fall, we did a bunch of different things for sure, but he was also checking his phone a lot, constantly monitoring the FHC site and PMing different members, no matter where we were. His dedication and feelings for everyone on here is obviously very real. In today's world, that says sumthin'... I'm so blessed and grateful that my bride and I are able to have most of the family ovah for the big meal today. Vicki thinks she saw caught me "checkin'' the stuffing... ... I have no idea what she's talkin' about. Have a great Thanksgiving everyone...
Happy thanksgiving everyone and their families on FHC! We are all blessed in one way or another. Prayers for a member today who's in the hospital on this holiday. Thankful he is still with us!
A Happy belated Thanksgiving to you Scotty Overkill and family.... and to FHC at large.... my second family .... replete with weird Uncles and Aunts Love y’all
YES,,,, thanks for breaking away!! Watching all the hate from opposing view points on TV lately has reminded me of "over there"!
