Lots of maggots under the bark

    I will occasionally get a mosquito bite after bringing wood into the house.
    Other than that, I have wood in the house all year.
    And my house is still standing...at least for now...if it falls down...I'll worry then...

    Can you send that link? It did not come thru for me. I am in Ohio, we currently are looking ash to the Ash bore, and there are firewood transport alerts to try to stop the progress of that Ash borer.

    A couple years ago I posted about some similar borers. They were powder post beetles. I thought they were going to eat the whole stack and just keep on moving. They really seemed to prefer the mulberry if my memory serves me correctly. No harm to anything and they were gone in the fall when the wood moisture had dropped. A bit of sawdust was all that remained.
