i was off last week for the rut. Its just firing off here now, pretty late this year. This buck I had lots of pics of in the summer. Our season started Sept 5th, he had disapeared right before bow season as the bachelor groups split up... I did a few sits at a corner of a bean field and saw him twice, but never in bow range then he was gone... Its the nature of early season deer and cut crops, then new foods on neighboring properties (huge white oak mast crop). This last friday I was on this farm, but about 200yds away in a pulp wood flat they usually chase thru. I had 0 acrion... But... You can see he was with his prize. Im not amped up enough to spend a lot of time on him. I only own 30acres of woods on this piece but it connects to a large 500+acre total wood lot. Hopefully he'll make it thru gun season and be a regular late season when his gut over rides his mind and starts coming for day light bites of wheat.
