Nothing to gripe about this morning, 34 currently, heading for a few more degrees, thats all. Winds just a touch over 10mph.

Tomorrow, rain snow. Great driving conditions, right?

No. Tomorrow is rifle opener for deer season! Stay off the road and off the couch. Head out to the woods and enjoy thyself.

Sitting at a balmy -8 C (18 F) without including wind chill at the moment. Gloomy with some snow falling, and some colder temps and more snow apparently on the way. Poplar as always chasing the chill away, while I ponder if I'm ever going to use a firestarter again.

I realized I didn’t post from yesterday! Last night we had gusts 30-45 mph now its picking up again. Stove is rolling with a mix of errythang. We’re staying warm with a window slightly open though. Initially I wasn’t going to but better to start woodstove rather than the other. Cooking chicken legs.

Nothing like our fellow Canadian VT went through but they flickered the lights yesterday at my work. It was just best I had one going if it got bad. Hope you’re doing well bud.

26 here and going to 46 or so, Had a good fire last night, so were letting the stove go cold for an ash clean out and chimney clean. I meant to do the chimney earlier but the weather was not good to be on the roof. Also gonna split and stack 3/4 cord of mixed stuff I cut yesterday.

Thanks. I did join another site, but it was a terrible fit for myself. I like the cold spell this morning. After the concrete is done...off to check traps and get a little wood!

Tossed a few chunks of sycamore, soft maple and ash in the owb last nite, well under 1/2 a load, trying to burn down charcoals.
House was 66 degrees this morning,,thought that maybe I hadn't loaded enough ash into the mix,
Nope,,it was the Ol' Doe Beater,,she had turned down the heat last night.!!
Gonna' be upper 40's with rain today.

Thank you. It has been a cold fall here. I've already burned through a cord and a half. Normally I would be at 3/4 cord. Makes me glad I'm a hoarder
