Ride by cords of firewood even red & white oak but no way to get it home Several deer & lots of wood Trail crew has it stacked in several locations Rode to Ohiopyle
What you doing out of Alaska? Get a bike buggy. We travled for 10 years towing our dog in a buggy. A friend of mine works as an independent handyman in Louisville, Ky and he doesn't own a car or truck, just uses either a bike cargo trailer attached to his mountain bike or he uses his cargo bike.
Every time I hike by a pile of quality firewood stacked miles from nowhere, I start formulating ways to get the wood home, return and camp near the pile and have a nice fire, or anything besides just letting it rot. Most of the time it just rots. We have tons of hardwood here in PA and the only stuff that is useful as firewood is the stuff you can get to.
Till Tuesday Thought same thing ,but family has my agenda mapped out , been 12 years. Quick trip this time Longer trip in the spring in planning stages, with G-kids to visit Great Grandma , when schools out. Would like to work something out then if it happens.
That would sound good Dave. Hope you have a great visit this time. 12 years is a long time! Glad you got to bring the bike.
Definitely! We could even do a mini-GTG here at my place for the day. At the very least, a cookout on the keyhole pit! My outdoor fireplace/pizza oven should be done by May!
Scotty Overkill and bogydave you can bet your booties that we'd do our best to get there for that meeting.
In Pittsburgh today, Greensburg tomorrow , then West Newton, Dutchtown then head out. Brief but good visits BIL’s older bike, but fit was ok. Ride was an unplanned event that worked out well
