    I think around 525 .
I wasn't paying for the stacking. That was separate. And not done by me.
Anymore, I don't sharpen my pencil when doing cutting for anyone.
Bucking log truck loads , it all depends on how dirty the wood is .
The wood on that job was all winter logged. And trucked when it was dry. Clean wood.

Thanks for the info ... if that's the going rate the guy that wants to contract can go buy his own saw and have at it ! Razer chain is a square-ground chain that cuts quickly

I'm from the great state of NY and we deal with "face cords" which is 1/3 of a full cord or 4x8 x 16" ... when you say 18 cord I assume u mean face cords correct ? Thanks

I'm real familiar with chisel ground chains. Do you have a close up pic of the cutters ?

No, 128 cu ft cord. 18 full cord.
We don't do face cords in Alaska.
When I was running my firewood business . I delivered by the scaled cu ft. So if I had 160 cu ft on my truck. That's what I got paid for. Ect.
When bucking loads of logs for firewood. I figure an hourly rate that I want to make and see how the job goes. Usually $50. per hour or much more.
Like I say, if someone wants Me to swing a saw for them. They can pay.
I spent too long chasing the bucks with a saw to try to be competitive with someone that will do it cheaper.
Around here, there are enough beer money firewood guys. Most everyone has figured out they get what they pay for.
When delivering wood. 4' or 8' I would buck it for $25 per cord. With a 2 cord load like this . It would take me about 1/2 - 3/4 hour to buck it while offloading the truck.

One thing to understand about doing firewood where Rope and I live. If working all winter . The men and the boys get separated with the first 40 below. The coldest I remember delivering wood , it was colder that 52 below ambient. The colder it got, the more my phone rang. I would beg other guys to sell firewood. Most of em just weren't hungry enough I guess. Problem was , I couldn't get any good timber sales any longer. So, I got out of the business.
Now I just go wander around in the woods with my 4 wheeler and trailer or sled and have fun. Cause I'm doing it to fill my own shed.

-40 ? That's frostbite city ... yeah I run into the same deal here as far customers not wanting to pay ... My bigsaws are a 395xp and a 660 and they produce quite quickly ... I also have a SuperSplit that is quick also ... I have a 9-5 and burn to stay warm (and my gas is $25/mo instead of 200 during winter using the furnace) so I'm picking and choosing jobs ... some guys must think this is the Great Depression with what they want to pay ! As a side gig to make a few $ and keep the woodpile stacked it works but with all the "beer money" guys out there it would be tough to make a go of it !
