I have owned over 150 cars (Pickups/cars/rigs ???) since I got my driver license at 16 YO (65 yo now)
In that time span I (WE) have purchased only a small number of new rigs.

1976 Ford F250 4x4 It was great... Never an issue.
1995 Chevy K2500 Suburban diesel 4x4 Had many issues with the electronic injection
1997 Ford F350 Power stroke 4x4 pickup Absolute nightmare.. Offed it at 24K miles
2017 Smart Fortwo.. Has 4000 miles on it and been in the shop for major issues once a month since we got it in June.

1 out of 4 new ones that were worth a dang ???? NOT A STELLAR PICTURE.

Spoke with the folks at Mercedes Benz and they can't figure out why the little beast will not start at random intervals.

They have had it since Halloween day and no answers as yet.

I have exercised restraint (Not walking in with Smoke coming out my butt screaming) :hair:

After the last failure I made it clear that Weee car was gonna have a new home.

Sad deal as the Weee beast is fun to drive and perfect for what we need.

It has other issues that have never been addressed (AC blows warm when slogging in slow traffic in hot weather (Told that this is normal) o_O
Skuuuuuse me, ahhhh, the AC is supposed to blow cold air.

Currently we are looking at a trade up to a Mercedes C class 4 matic

While this fiasco has been churning along we have looked at several rigs.

    Jeep Wrangler
    Chevy Equinox
    Mercedes GL 550
    Mercedes C class

The fact that Mercedes holds the note on wee car and they have the power to make wee car go away adds a bit of complications to whatever we do.

It boils down to a Mercedes and that's about it.

We currently have a 2017 C class loaner to drive, and took a 300 mile trip over the weekend.

    Absolutely a joy to drive.

The power is great (Turbo 4 cyl)
    All wheel drive
    All the creature comforts.
Our trip this weekend saw 30 mpg

    Soooooooooooooooo
We are waiting for Benz to get their Chit together and OK the deal.

    On a friendlier note...

Yesterday was a great day for getting Shells.

We hauled in nearly 6000 pounds of hazelnut shells and have nearly all of it barreled up now.

There is still a small amount left to get out of the dumpster this morning.

Good feeling to see all those full barrels sitting in the shop.

Too many things for me or us to deal with. We have had 6 vehicles since the early 70's and that is too many.

I hope you do - imagine you got lots of folks wanting them. Maybe 'cause of the cold weather that slammed the upper/mid-west early? Or delivery logistics, due to fuel prices? Was talking to a few drivers in this area (in general, not specific to wood pellets) - companies are really staging loads, dead-heading is always an issue, even more so w/ fuel prices going up recently.

    Dunno, just guessing.

Hope the truck arrives your way soon.

White stuff on all the cars this am, got 2 days to complete car repairs, get leaves off the major areas, etc. before stuff really starts sticking to the ground. Temps. dropping big-time over the next few days. Time to get the winter gear ready. :shiver:

Have a fun day all, stay warm. :campfire:

It was a nice toasty 29 F here at 7:00 AM. Supposed to be in the single digits Friday. We got 8 of the 12 interior storms installed yesterday morning and finally turned the pellet stove on.

there was an electrical fire at the LaCrete mill in early Sept. I think they just re-opened. so there are no LaCrete pellets anywhere in the pipeline from Alberta to Coaticook, QE. I'm hoping late Nov for a delivery

Also ordering more shear pins for the Sn*wblower today, I hear the voice of a "wise 'ol bear" telling me too.

Time to get into some farmer johns and outside clothing, gather the brake job tools, and find a rake.

Have a great day David.

:( ... Was hoping that wasn't the reason (plant issues / fire) hope it wasn't too bad, I imagine they'll be cranking out pellets big-time now.

That is the goal for today and yes yesterday was a busy day for me, still watching my BP dropping from the change in meds on 10/25, yes for some meds it takes a long while for the full effect to be seen.

The problem us that firefox and chrome have been telling people that our site wasn't safe. Not that its not secure, but that it's not SAFE. I am getting contacted on a regular basis about these security warnings-- people are scared and worried about their safety on our site.

I took care of that problem, now we have a minor problem with weather stickers. In my opinion this is a better problem to have.

I also took care of my weather weasel "issues" by getting rid of them. Not ideal, and I don't give a rat's azz about Google and I've never had an issue with Firefox which I've been using since it came out.

You are in the minority from what I can tell. Right now I have it set to reload the inage daily, onky because I can't make it any more often. Also, if there is a "secure" weather sticker out there it can be used and not be proxied. In the meantime I have found a potential loop hole but I need time to further explore that option. This only came to my attention last night and I do work a full time job.

Most websites have been declared unsafe by Google at least several times over the years and Chrome is Google so I see them as the same. I'll have a chat with Matt (Googleguy on WMW at one point) Cutts some day I want to catchup with things in Google's world.

Now you know why I'm leaving the game to younger folks. More fun finding the gremlins instead of fixing them(used to be my full time occupation).

Somebody was re-roofing half of the elementary school on this street last Tuesday morning as the back half was peeled off by the winds. Not enough fasteners me thinks.
