Ive got a good share of it. Some has been set aside for just bbq wood. Otherwise Its a great smelling wood. Middle of the road? Cherry seems to have it’s good perks. I’m more than appreciative of it.

Now there is a storm warning issued beginning tomorrow evening! 3"-5" tomorrow, but Thu is supposed to be windy, cold and more snow....total should be around 12" again. Hope the power stays on.

Supposed to get in the mid 20's tonight & upper 30's with wind here tomorrow. Still burning Silver Maple. Plenty of BTU for these temps. May have to upgrade to a Cherry & Ash mix for the weekend though, we'll see.

I dont feel I should like your post because I know it means shoveling is in store for you but at least you will be burning and the forest will look all pretty!

lookin good! It should warm up a bit for us here which will be good since I have some work for the splitter before I put it to bed for the winter.

Rope when do you figure you will get out for ice fishing? Weve had some cold weather lately but safe walking on our lakes is still a bit off I think.

Glad I am not the only person in this world that loves to cut wood and wood warmed house. Nothing like coming in from the cold and having a wood stove to back up to.

Hard to say, I am on moose hunting right now. But I have ice fishing on the brain. But need to fill the freezer first.

still at 36 degrees, locust coals throwing some decent heat still. High of 46 today, and it looks like tonight might be the first night of the year where it dips below freezing, maybe not at my house though. The pond across the street keeps us a few degrees warmer at this time of year.

OWB is feeding on mullberry and ash.
I've been keeping a fire in the man cave, burning ash since Sunday's torrential rain. (we gotta' bunch)
