We are canning pears today, did 12 pints of pear/cranberry jelly yesterday today it will be honey brandy pears and lemon pears. We had a bumper crop of pears and still have tons ripening. We stripped the trees 2 weeks ago. got about 4 bushels worth.

 

Almost did a header while dumping the cats box, it's a good thing I didn't do the last doubling of amLODipine otherwise I would be down the embankment. I noticed my blood pressure was getting close to the do not cross line when I was a little over halfway through my half life point upon going to 5.0 mg from 2.5 it is closer to 50 hours than the "standard" 30 the docs seem to use I hope the Doc isn't mad at me for following my eyeballs and my research, I want to remain upright and conscious, funny ain't I?

Upright and conscious depends on "Proper Air Flow" also. Are you getting enough aerobic exercise? I haven't messed with the 5 mg dosage, are you cutting your tablet?

 

No cutting,was taking 1 2.5 mg was upped to 2 2.5 and then Doc said damm not enough go to 4 2.5 I though you are nuts after 2.5 mg twice a day after only 5 days worth of two 2.5 mg knowing I was on the high side of the biological half life which goes from 30 to 50 hours for this med. At 50 hours it is 16+ days to steady state.

 

Larry would love the 125/71 or so readings I have been pulling. That is normal/ideal. It is the low readings that show up from time to time that can be a major issue as well as high readings doc wants them under 140/90. 150/90 is a normal type of target for people my age not on meds.

 

Interesting I was told there was only the 5 mg dosage if I didn't control my BP it would got to the 10 mg dosage. The only time I get screwed up is when I eat out, which sucks. Now that I have the dinero and the time to go out to some international restaurants within an hour or so from here I can't take the salt. The Doc wants me to take this at the same time every night. When I'm traveling, I can't find a steady time, and I've been traveling a bunch these last few months.

 

All medications need to be on a set schedule. Amlodipine comes in 2.5,5, and 10 mg dosages you can't do more than 10 mg per day it has a very long half life and takes a long while to reach maximum daily concentration. I take mine at 8:00AM which will change to 7:00AM tomorrow morning. Max daily concentration is 8 hours later. It is one of three meds I am on for BP.

 

My diastolic is usually the one that goes really low and is normally normal. The systolic pressure is the one that tends to go high. I used to run hot (high normal) /normal .

 

In the pursuant of full disclosure I am not a doctor so please reference a PDR for drug information. I take 4 drugs that impact BP one is not used for BP so I say I have 3 BP meds.
