40 with a real feel of 33. Burning a few pieces of Elm and Walnut. A nice 70 in the house. Maybe time for some shorts here in a little bit!

30°F here in St. Louis. I'm burning some red maple with a piece of cherry in the fireplace to help keep a bed of coals going.

Nothing yet. Yesterday was 70 and high 50s last night. This morning is 62 humid and windy. Supposed to get a ton of rain and high winds later.

But............everything is ready to touch off.

Ran the pellet for a bit this morning. Raining with 60mph winds arriving overnight. Power outages likely, so put up some wood just in case for tomorrow morning.

Just above freezing with some wind on the side. Kind of a gross day, but the snow is gone and the ground should dry somewhat. Poplar in the stove doing its thing.

Unfortunately no, I didn't get out fishing. The wind picked up and I've never had any luck in the wind, so I decided to stack some wood instead.

Still unseasonably warm here and is going to be pretty much all week. No fire in sight yet, this is crazy! It's almost November and I only lit the stove once, and didn't really need to either. I can't remember the last time we went this long without the wood stove! On the plus side, I'm conserving the wood stacks.

I dont mind a little bit of wind but fighting a boat in the wind as well as your gear isnt any fun. Dont blame you.

I've only been shore fishing, but I find the bite isn't there, unless it's wind in my face/blowing to shore. Even then it seems the odds are against.

It is now 40 degrees at 5PM. The first fire of the season is lit in the Wood Gun.:)

It will take a while to get around 480 gallons of water heated up.

I will start with fires in the evening and burn enough to keep the boiler and tank up to temp so the burning of the bubbling goo will cease and desist!

Nice site decorations Grizzly Adam !

42 outside, been drizzling all day, I have had the fire going since last night, first time this year to load in the morning. Just put a bit of cherry and ash in about 6:30 when we returned from the airport, sis in law heading back to the lone star State and high 80's. That's ok I am enjoying the fire, 73 in the upstairs heading for 33 out tonight.

It was cold 44F damp and raining all day yesterday, waited until ~11am to crank the stove after the actual cold air moved in.
Barely touched 48F this afternoon and expecting first frost tonight.
Daytime running a mix of SYP, gum, sourwood, cherry. Tonight some 4.5yo red oak:fire:

    Finally back online!

The OWB got lit this afternoon; took just over an hour to get up to temp.

In the meantime, I shoveled the leftovers from the storm Friday.
