A friend of mine cleared about an acre of his property for a homesite about a year ago, and let me run wild on the log pile. It was mostly big Tulip Poplar which I got about 4 cords of last winter, and have been burning almost exclusively this shoulder season. The other day I brought another friend out to help him get his stockpile up, and I discovered a couple of nice White Oaks and a Cherry hidden in the pile. He skidded the logs wth his backhoe, so some of them are pretty caked with dirt unfortunately, but the Oak wasn't too bad at all. I think there's another that I'll have to cut some more huge Poplar out of the way to get to, but that'll have to wait for another day. Man, that oak smells awesome! The pile is a lot smaller than it was last winter The LogOx can't get here soon enough! The digging bar isn't cutting it.
Here's a couple shots of the F350 pulling some towing duty...the trailer is 36', and almost 10,000lbs when packed up. We pulled it from California to West Virginia in the spring of 2016...she pulled like a champ up and over all of the mountain passes, including legends such as Tehachapi in the southland of CA and Loveland up and over the Continental Divide. The wife used my truck the other day....told me it smells like chainsaw and trees.I told her it was a new freshener was on the shelf between new car smell and French vanilla.
Same here!!! Part of the reason I love my rubber floors and mats in my truck the carpet doesn’t last long
Nice six seven! They are great trucks. Tulip served me well the last 2 winters. It dries fast and burns better than I initially thought it would.
