Yesterday I had some fun messing with a white tail 6 pointer in the middle of a hay field. It was amazing how close I was able to get to him.
That's really cool but I wanna know which doe estrous scent you took a bath in! Did he act aggressive at all, or curious?
Pretty close to it. I thought it was wounded and to be totally honest with you I was going to go back after the cloak of darkness and get a carcass home and in the freezer. Best I can tell by the way the deer was acting was that it had just been in a sparing match with a bigger buck as it looked totally exhausted and was acting kinda weird walking in circles and just plain to tired to run away from me.
That's somethin else! I've been really close to alot of deer but never with a situation like that before.
Fantastic video. thanks. A while back, there was a big buck in my yard trying to get at my shrubs. I got close to it. Waved my arms and shouted at it. I wanted to scare it away, but it started shorting and scraping his front hooves. He was trying to intimidate me. I didn't get any closer. (about 50 feet). He eventually walked off. there are just too many of them around here.
