Would you accept a direct (same machine) replacement? I'm thinking that's about all you could ask for from them. Do you think that your problems were not from a too light or small of a tractor but mostly bad parts and Q/C. You can't abuse a cyl. seal, electrical components or your trans, esp in 240 hours.

Ya. It's on tractorbynet.com as well. Ive told them I don't have a problem with my dealer. Or Mahindra really. I have a problem with THIS tractor.

I honestly think this tractor should handle what I'm doing. It's not industrial construction or industrial farming work. My soil is soft topsoil on top of clay. Their slogan is "The toughest tractors on earth."

I think they should make me an offer of a direct replacement or better yet, meet me part way on a stronger, tougher tractor.

    I agree.
I guess what I'm trying to ask is are you now afraid of a replacement Mahindra tractor? I have not researched complaints on the web, I don't know what's "out there", but it sounds like you have. I'm leaning (with no personal experience) towards thinking you just got a bad machine and have a good chance of being a happy red tractor guy starting over with a different machine:yes:

If they keep saying they can't help you, tell 'em as soon as the warranty is up you are trading it on a Kubota and then will chronicle your experience with Mahindra on a couple hugely popular online forums that you are a member of...

He already has put it out in writing here and TBN. If they don't satisfy him it's basically already out there...forever!

Already did that. Told my dealer I was going to have to trade it in on a Kubota if they don't figure something out. But then I have to take a big loss on it. I can't afford that.

I am nervous of another Mahindra. Maybe one of there heavier duty ones will work just fine. But it appears that isn't going to happen. I'll have to wait until next week because the Mahindra representative is in training all week this week.

But I can't take a 15-20% los on trading it in on a Kubota or Deere. I have spoke with two dealers and they said they would take it in on trade but you are probably going to lose 15-20% on your tractor.

I'd make sure the Mahindra higher ups know this too...

I spoke with the dealer on the phone last Saturday morning to find out if the new steering cylinder was in. He told me it was and they were planning on calling me Monday to get together with me and fix it.

I had to call the dealer today to find out what was taking so long because they had not called me yet. So I asked. He said that Dave had fixed my tractor and returned it to me.

o_O I said. "Oh. Well I didn't even know that. I thought someone would have told me. ?"
    :)picard:Maybe not.)

Anyway. I thanked him and said I still want to talk with the area representative as soon as he is available. In the meantime it is raining and will be tomorrow as well. So not much work to do outside.

I'm glad they have everything fixed on it. I have it all cleaned up and am hoping the representative will come over soon so I can have a long discussion with him about everything that has gone wrong with it.

Not sure if it will help (him) but you might "drop" his name every now & then. Internet searches will send folks all over the place and just might "do him a solid" .

This is a heavy duty blade with the ability to turn 360, tilt, and offset. I found it at a very fair price on Craigslist.

Just a bit wet in your area, we received just over half an inch from the overnight rain.

Not a river name I recognized, so I looked it up. Wow, that oxbow in it is crazy. I had a college friend from Gouveneur, which means I’ve crossed the river years ago without knowing it’s name.

The 3550 did some lightweight lifting and moving of some timbers today. Then I brought one heaping load of topsoil from down by the camp and up into the barn. I used that to level the area off where the chicken coop will be put and then fenced into a stall.

Here she is after the work was over. I cleaned her up pretty good the other day before greasing. It is a nice tractor when everything is working correctly.

Hopefully it will stay that way now that they have it all working properly again.
