Burned a few smaller rounds this afternoon.Dead branches covered with some dried fungus last spring that I didn't want to use in the smoker or weber kettle.
This weekend I'll get a better look at what's left standing or what is next to it, we'll see what the best way to fell it is, it's near the main trail so I'm thinking it should come down before it rots. We always get a good mixture of cherry, sugar maple and beech that Mother Nature puts down every year.

I see the "not the best BTU" remarks, that is true but we can usually heat our house through December with the cherry, I always want three cord of cherry ready per year. Since we added the shoulder season wood, we usually have some cherry left when the burning season ends.
