for the stacks, it's just a small branch but it all adds up. This came down in one of the two storms we had.

Not the highest on the btu chart, but I love cherry. I probably have more cherry ready to burn this year than anything else.

Sometimes it seems it doesn't take too much to bring down a cherry. Still good to burn.

Burned a few smaller rounds this afternoon.Dead branches covered with some dried fungus last spring that I didn't want to use in the smoker or weber kettle.

Your branches are as big as most of the trees I cut. :)

This weekend I'll get a better look at what's left standing or what is next to it, we'll see what the best way to fell it is, it's near the main trail so I'm thinking it should come down before it rots.

We always get a good mixture of cherry, sugar maple and beech that Mother Nature puts down every year.

Looks like a couple days worth. That's how I look at my scores. How many days can I heat with this load.:fire:

I see the "not the best BTU" remarks, that is true but we can usually heat our house through December with the cherry, I always want three cord of cherry ready per year.

Since we added the shoulder season wood, we usually have some cherry left when the burning season ends.
