Can't you fly up and back? That is a long trip. Should be 2 days if by car.

Yeah, optimas used to be great. I got about 15 years out of my old one before it started to not keep a full charge. I had it in 2 different 5.0 mustangs, then in my ski nautique.

Then Johnson Controls bought them, and lowered the standards. While Johnson Controls is based in Milwaukee, I'm not a fan.

We've got beer and cheese. If you end up a county above Milwaukee, hit me up.

I've actually been driving more and I don't mind it. I fly out to the west coast, but if it's a day plus a little, I'll drive. Cleveland lost their hub status with United 5 yrs ago and just about everything is a connection anymore. I was Gold with Continental and then with United, but gold doesn't mean squat to united. Delays, attitude and inconvenience turned me away from flying like I used to. Driving is more peaceful a lot of the time.

Eh, 5 hrs is pretty easy. I used to drive 16 hours at a crack when I lived in Maine and drive back or forth to Wisconsin. I've fairly recently driven to Florida with only a power nap in Tennessee. It's about 20 hours to where we go in Florida. It was 16 hrs to Bethel Maine.

Now, my wife doesn't like to go more than 8 hrs of travel while in a car at a time . Usually I can get her to fall asleep while she's co piloting and somehow we'll go a few more hours.

I missed the smiley I guess;)

    Thanks in advance yooperdave

I guess I just don't understand why a homeowner would take it a hydronic heat system to put in forced air?

Yep. Duramax is an Isuzu engine. GM couldn't make a diesel that was worth anything, for, well forever. So GM made some SUVs that were really trailblazers ( Isuzu ascender) and probably some other things, and in turn, GM got diesel tech and knowledge from Isuzu. It's now a joint venture though. They are really good motors.

I'm sure East Penn batteries are fine. I'm certain I've used them, I just don't recall. No bad news is great news. I know I've/ we've used their batter products at work too, and they are just fine.

Caffeine going in. Time to get a movin. My good retired neighbor is coming over today to work with me. I have been paying him here and there to help me get some things done. Today we start the process of drilling for, and pouring several concrete piers in the barn. These piers will support new post needed for wall and gate support. I've got to get going on this before ground starts to freeze. Once these are in and backfilled, it will be time to build a gate for entering stall, and then the walls for the tack room and "office" room.

There are only a small handful of automotive battery manufacturers in the US. EastPenn and Johnson Controls are the two biggest. They make the majority of the store branded batteries for places like Walmart & Sears, as well as the auto manufacturers. However, not all are created equal. They are made to the buyers specs. So just because they both were made by the same company, they arent the same internally.

Deka is EastPenn's own battery line. They make everything from automotive batteries to 5,000lb forklift batteries. Deka is one of my biggest competitors in the forklift battery market, and they sell a very good product.

good god that is fugly! The only thing that gives away that mine is different is the one ton axles and 4" exhaust, which comes out in the right spot! (Im sick of the new trend of putting stacks in pickups)

Thanks! Yes its a 7.3. It rides on 2005 1 ton axles. I wanted to keep the coil spring front end for ride comfort, as well as the coolness factor, since only one other person with a one ton Bronco had coils when I built mine.
