What are you using that for? Pull out drawer or display case? It looks fantastic!

Display case. Told the wife I wanted to fill it with 1911s but she wasn't thrilled.

IMG_1191.JPG My wife wanted to come up to her parents vacation house in the White Mountains for the long weekend. Beautiful house on a golf course, but I forgot just how miserable the beds make us. My MIL loves a super firm mattress, so every bed in the house is as comfortable as a pool table.

At least I got up here just before sunset and got to spend a little alone time on Cathedral Ledge. My favorite spot to watch the sun rise over Conway Village, and then set over Moat Mountain on the other side a few hundred yards away from the ledge.

First pic is the village, second was where the sun would be setting.

Two words, air mattresses. Lucky, family place in the mountains on Columbus Day weekend! I'm still leapfrogging my hawthorn up from my brothers driveway in Watertown. I want to get it all covered before the rain! Don't get suckered into a shopping trip to North Conway, if you can help it.

Oh hell no to village shopping! They have had the house here for 12 years, and she has been coming up here for many years before, so we typically completely avoid the village unless we just want to walk around and window shop at night. You know, like 7PM before they roll up the sidewalks

The race will start soon. I'm feeling a good bit better. Not completely right, but close enough. DayQuil and caffeine in me. I will probably do s little more walking today. Wish me luck. LOL

Leaving for the Twin Cities area with my youngest boy, for my nieces wedding. After the wedding he and I are headimg out for NW Wisconsin for a visit with my friend and drop off the three slabs of ash I milled last year.

Slabs are tarped down for the rainy trip up North. Should be able to hit Cabellas on the way up. :)

I hope that I won't end up in the village, though, I might bring my daughter down to see the trains. My dads best friend is a manager at the Conway Scenic Railroad

Game On....The predator(s) are taking aim on chickens again... this time I've lost three chickens in about a week... the last attack was two birds... we've got diggers... they were back last night... but they found my 1/2" conduit drove into the ground. I'll be driving more conduits into the ground and laying down wire on the ground to hopefully stop them or pizz them off more...

Got a big crock pot fill of ham hocks, green beans, taters, onions, and garlic cooking for dinner.

Work on my BILs front porch making some decorative stuff. Kinda winging it so lots of test fitting and recutting. Time consuming but should look good when I'm done.

Two hour, seventeen minutes and a few seconds. Not bad for 13.1 miles while getting over some type of sickness. I walked a little more to get through it. I'm happy, and it's time for a nice long shower, then a nice big lunch with the family.

I love that first picture with the strip of sun rays bouncing off the mountains in the distance!

Good thing you got up there early. I went to Concord this morning and traffic was good, if a bit on the heavy side for 8 am. On my way back (heading S - then onto 89N), that Northbound side was bumper to bumper.
