Welcome to the club Mike Fields , nice to meet you. I'll see if I can find something and send you the link.
That's the same cover as my 045, this is a little pricey, but you can make an offer. OEM Stihl 045 / 056 AV Super / Magnum II Clutch / Chain Sprocket Cover | eBay

Thanks for the warm welcome. . the clutch cover posted on eBay won't work due to the full wrap handle on my saw..From what I'm hearing on the stihl chainsaw page the cover I need has a grove or indentation that allows the handle to ride down the side of this cover and bolt underneath. I bought this dinosaur from ebay with parts missing and i hope to bring it back to life... i havent received the saw yet its in transit but it haa the full handle and possibly had a chain brake... thanks again I hope someone has this gem and can part with it ...
I looked at an IPL and I only saw one clutch cover listed for it. The number was 1115 640 1700. Stihl 056 Used chainsaw parts clutch cover sprocket guard 1115 648 0400 B 142 Have you checked with any local saw shops?

My reply.. I didn't ask you to work on my saw I asked you if you have any parts, now since your cutting us guys down running saws that are made in Germany and Good saws is this the part of the conversation where you try to sell me a new plastic model made in Va. Needless to say he was no help. thanks for the info. I bought a parts saw that doesn't have the full wrap handle the cover is included so we shall see if it fits... I wanna use the full wrap handle if possible.
Tho half wrap 45s and 56s were fairly rare in S.E.Alaska when those saws were in production. Once in a while a guy would get sent the wrong clutch cover. We would just take a hacksaw and a grinder or dremil tool and cut the notch for the full wrap . Can't imagine running a 56 with a half wrap handle on it .
