Installed the Ideal Steel last Tuesday. Had a couple burns just because!! and just had the first sustained shoulder season burn. To say I am impressed with this stove is an understatement.

This is still the shoulder season, but on a 3/4 load I am going on 14 hours of burn with only about 1/2 the wood consumed. Hope the rest of the season goes this well.

this makes me want one. WELL, I wanted one before, now I just want one more. Hey, that rhymes!
But first, I needs to tear down my house and rebuild, THEN I can think about my next stove.
Keep us informed, Ideal Steel looks like a great choice.

Congratulations! There is quite a large following of IS owners on this site. Your report on the shoulder burn you have had so far is nothing new to IS owners, I'm glad your enjoying what we have for a few years now. The stove is amazing to say the least. Don't be afraid to ask questions as the learning curve goes forward. Got any pics you can share of your IS?
