none yet, as much as I like to burn I hope I can wait til Halloween, it can be a long cold winter around here, there will be plenty of burning soon enough. looking at the forecast might have to have a couple of night burns next week, lows in the mid 40's overnight.

We started in August. I avoid the HVAC thermostat like it has the plague. Snow this past weekend. I am a bit nervous, did not really have the wood pile as full as I would have liked.

No fire here yet. Starting to hit the 40’s at night but we are still having 60-70 degree days. Soon enough the switch will get flipped and winter will be here.

We have been burning for 168 days now. we are coming out the other side of it, I have only been lighting the fire at sundown the past week. I almost did not light it tonight it had been 73F today and only supposed to drop to 53F tonight, but when I came inside it was just a little cool so I took a pice of wood and split it in half added some pine kindling and lit a small fire. 61F outside now 75F inside and the fire is almost out.

First fire tonight. My wife got to start the fire for the first time this year as I was out late At a meeting. Glad she got it started good. Down to the low 30's tonight and I'm not turning on the furnace yet! Supposed to warm up the next couple of days so should be able to hold off from burning for awhile and risk getting short on the 2017-2018!supply

Ok, I lit my Quadrafire up tonight. White pine ugly chunks tonight. 50°and rainy, I figured why not?

Well, not that ugly, just short ends from the decent sized logs that were delivered last winter. Yes, it's totally dry.

Pretty sure I have more than enough. 2-3 cords under the deck ready to go, quite a few cords at the in-laws farm, couple at friends woods, but that has to be hauled and stacked yet. Going out Saturday to a CL find that has a bunch of downed Ash, going get as much as I can in 1 day. Probably go through 4-5 cords this winter, can you ever have enough?

You're right! I just read back and thought "huh? I missed something about not having enough wood?" I don't think there is someone in this club that doesn't or if is, is still taking measures to get it done. There is one guy I know on here who burns 15 cord in a OWB. Im impressed that he manages to get some of this piled, cut and stacked up before the :fart::dennis: but its not without the tedious work involved. Just didn't want to assume but cautiously wondered!

We just got home from having lunch with friends of ours and decided it was time to start the fire. No cooking in the house today so we need a alternate source of heat. Burning some poplar.
Horkn seeing you got a fire going it was safe for me to do the same:coldfire:

It's a little warmer out today than yesterday. We're this close to starting another chunky monkey pine fire in the stove.

We're definitely having a fire on Saturday night as a few friends are coming over after the city's Oktoberfest party on Saturday.
