New insert/stove, chimney work, etc. - Advice needed

    That looks really nice, Rangerbait. I was following that thread and it turned out great. I'm in no position to take on that kind of project, unfortunately.

    It seems the wife has relaxed her aesthetic requirements, so that will open up a bunch of new insert options. Out of curiosity, is Woodstock going to manufacture an insert? I thought I'd heard rumblings about it a while back, but haven't heard anything lately.

    Not really. Waiting on another estimate from a stove shop / chimney repair place. I've been doing some research on inserts. I think I've narrowed it down to 3, but I'm all ears for other suggestions:

    BK Princess
    PE Summit
    Quad 4100/5100

    I know these are not really flush / modern, but the wife is on board for better performance, as long as it's not too ornate.

    I would really love to find out if WS is coming to market with an insert. I love the look and functionality of the IS, which I would buy if I were to do an alcove build.
