Been kicking around the idea of putting tables on my splitter for a while now. I finished them up today. I did smaller tables than many because I still use the vert/horoz. feature quite a bit and the larger tables would have taken that option away. I sure was tired of bigger rounds falling off on my legs/feet or the engine. I'm not the best fabricator or welder, but I feel like they will hold and can't wait to try them out. split1.jpg split2.jpg split3.jpg split4.jpg split5.jpg

That should help from picking up a lot of fallen pieces while splitting. Looks great.

Great job! That craftsman is the same as the MTD we have up north. I can tell you that those tables are much better built than the stock "wings"that are on there. Those things bend if you look at them funny.

Don E, that looks freaking awesome. Log tables make life easier that's for sure. How did you fasten your sheet stock to the tubes?

    Looking good, Don!
You'll probably want to add a stop on each end of the tables to keep the splits from vibrating off the ends. I used small pieces of angle to keep pieces from falling on the filter/return hose.
(And a cover over the filter )

I used pop rivets to anchor the sheet metal down. I was going to weld it on and then thought I might want to change the sheet out some day in the future and its a lot easier to drill the pop rivets than to grind the welds off.

I like the cover over the filter.... that will be added to mine soon.
