I've done two half assed seasaonal cleanings, the lower stuff only, but still need the complete cleaning. For better or worse it's getting turned off and cooled down tomorrow so WWW can brush the exchange tubes and give the burn pot a better scraping. ( savemoney lol)

I have a whole house surge protector. It is located in circuit breaker box. Put it in when we did the big do over.

Well the two heat zones work and my stove just lit off. Trying out the heating systems. Hey Pete, I also don't have any extra devices for surge protection. This place came with extras installed. There is protection to prevent us from screwing up most possible electrical stuff. It can't protect us from other common stupid people things but it can go a long way before we can get into the act.

I have surge protectors on most stuff. But do they really do anything? I often wonder if its snake oil.

Always good to know things are up and running in proper order. I have to tell you that breathing is much better without that hot humid weather.

That is open question for most until you need one and haven't got one.

A fast blowing electronic device is good fuse protection. Your choice, I learned about such things and have seen other folks with an expensive mess so I prefer a dose of protection to the cost of going without it.

Question, that stove is close to a door that opens, and just under a sliding glass window. How will it pass inspection? Just curious, not critical.

This is from your installation manual. Usually an inspector will follow this as guidelines.

The vent is over a foot above that window. This stove already passed inspection. And she actually brought a tape measure, unlike the first inspection I had done.
