Colder here. What's your temp? What ya burnin?

looks like Im finally going to get to turn the AC off this morning.....but possibly need a fire tomorrow morning to warm the house up? WTF is this??? We are already at our high for the day of 73 degrees, but 92% humidity. Once the sun comes up thats supposed to drop by 50% then a low in the 40's for the next few nights.

I think Im gonna take tomorrow off and take advantage of the cool 60 degree weather and get a jump on some splitting and stacking.

 

It made it down to 50 degrees overnight. That is a thirty six degree drop in about 12 hours. It will be nice for working in.

Just wishful thinking! I had to go back in my FHC archives to last winter just so I didn't boil over!

amazing how quickly the weather turned here! I left my house at 7:15, and it was low 70's but stupid high humidity. I drove 15 minutes to the store, and when I got out the humidity was completely gone. 10 minutes later when I came back out it was even drier, and the temp had gone down a few degrees too! Ill take it!

Ive had a stressful morning with work. I said screw it, got dressed to go take some stress out on some oak rounds....but found that my daughter and a friend are now playing on the swing set...which is right in front of my processing area. So much for that idea. Is it too early for bourbon?

 

You could release some stress by playing with your daughter and friend. I bet they would love to have you push them on the swings.

 

my wife and her friend are out there catching up. Great idea though.

 

We had 52 or 53 this morning with the temp at 58 so far. It looks like the weather will be nice enough that we won't be burning for another week if not longer.

 

Mid 60's for 4 days then it's going back up , 80 is better than 93 though

yup we got to 62 and cool at nighthe almost freezing... no stove yet it feels so nice not to sweat!

 

It was quite nice to split and stack a bit after work today, and not think you were going to die from overheating!

Got about it 1/4 cord of Oak put up in hopes that it will drop the last 1-2% by the end of winter. Definitely some nice wind blowing through them right now!

 

Down to 37ish this morning. House still warm though. After a couple of cool days it looks like it will return to warmer days in the 70s. I think I'll hold off on burning even longer then.

 

45f this morning! Might just fire the old girl up tonight. We will be home working on the house Saturday, it's supposed to be cool and damp. Off to the 141 annual Deerfield fair Sunday. Glad is not going to be 90 and hiumid.

 

47 degrees this morning, supposed to get up to 67 today. Left a few windows open last night, so its a bit chilly in here, but no need to warm it up. High of 54 with rain tomorrow, so I guess I better start getting some shoulder wood into the basement. Probably gonna need it.

 

Hopefully I can take the ac units out. For the last time!

 

Frost coming tonight!

 

We are -1c/30f right now with frost. The sun is eating it up fast but the shadows are lasting longer these days so it will stick around in spots for awhile. I would like to go for a walk in the woods but work is calling.
