What's up today (bullchiting) thread.

Over cast this morning with a prediction of rain. It has been hot (in the 70s) for this time of year and NO wind. Unreal. campinspecter has been getting over a tweak in his back so no wood gathering until next week.

 

its getting better. i go in a few days for stent removal then it will be all done.

 

you can trade me it was 94 here yesterday with 80% humidity.

 

Wasn't that overcast this morning. Once we got out on the walk, there were stars and the sunrise was gorgeous. It is going to be a nice morning.

 

Hope your back gets better quick like campinspecter ! In the meantime nourishment in the form of milk and home made cookies or some type of sweet baked bars may very well help!

 

Both local contractor's excavators are tied up right now. One guy has four machines and two more rented and all six are spread out over two counties on jobs. I'm still working on two other places.

 

Weekend kinda starts now. Cooking steaks for me and the wife.

Day off / travel tomorrow for some weekend work up in cheddarland then back Sunday night. I have 7 days off after that for camping and deer hunting.

 

Thats for sure!

That sounds like you got it all! I have all of those too! .... Wait. Except for the fire.

 

More progress on the trails today, with the tractor. No progress on an Excavator rental. Everyone's machines are busy on jobs. All the wet weather we have had has all the contractors full out while the weather is dry.

More stumps pulled, rocks dug out, etc. One area that is usually pretty wet through a swampy like low land is now dry enough for me to work in. I am reaching out to both sides and pulling sod and dirt up onto path and leaving shallow ditch on both sides. This, over time, should result in the water collecting on the sides of this trail and hopefully the trail remains somewhat less wet.

 

Seeing as I am working campinspecter will have to do the baking of the home made cookies or sweet baked bars!

As soon as the sun comes up, looks like current is 06:50, it's time to get back to work on the trails. I have been told about another outfit about 40 miles away that might rent me an excavator. I will call them when they open.
