Same problem as Fat Boy 85 running out of room and have to stop collecting for the moment. As you can see from the photos this is all the wood I have collected during the summer, it goes around the other side of the house to. The construction wood and pallet wood in the shed will be burnt this winter, problem is the shed is the only place to keep it dry. Thinking of partioning the shed and keeping all of the construction and pallet wood to one side so I can start to split and stack in the other side. The pallet wood should all be used by Christmas allowing me to fill the shed completely. pizzed of as I have found some newly felled Ash but no where to put it ,couldn't help my self and squeezed a couple of car loads in. That's pallets of wood under the blue tarps in front of the smaller shed. Slowly trying to get myself on the three year plan.
I'm jealous of your wood shed! If it were me I'd get the pallet/ construction wood out of there and fill it with cord wood! A partition could help if you don't use all of it in one year. You won't end up with old wood in the back that never gets burned.
Haha I wasn't expecting the tag but sure enough it gets to the point where I'm trying to get it so its not so much of an eye sore and more into stacking it well. Still trying!!! I also like to keep my wood in the same bundles so that I can remember that I got that load when and not mix it up until I know its ready to burn. Looks like you're definitely looking to find some space for that stuff as it got just like that for me in some parts. I just work at it a little at a time. It'll work for you. Luckily lots of dry spells came and the work was completed. Sometimes the wood I cut is ranging from perfect stove pieces to something that is about 4 inches long and 4 inches wide. Those ibc totes would really help there for those nuggets. Good luck and I'm likely to start collecting soon again. Just need to get some more racks built. I can't do Savage's method as I have no saplings, so its likely the 2x4's and the cinder blocks. Easy enough, I do use pallets but they've become a little inconsistent for stacking. All good though
