Blackwalnut Thousand Canker Disease The article appears to be from 2010. I was in Missouri last week and saw a "Do Not Move Firewood Sign". They were concerned about Walnut Canker. The article I read led me to believe it is only in the west. How far east has it moved? Anyone seeing it? Will it go the course of EAB?
We've been briefed, but I have not heard of it in my area yet. Asian Long Horn Beetle is another to be concerned about in my area.
I have listen to several warning on radio about the Asian Long Horn Beetle. As far as I know it is only in SE Ohio at this time.
I can't get a break. My woodlot planting included a couple of different oak species, hickory, ash and black walnut. The ash is all going to die eventually and now this?
