    Did someone say song?
Sung to the tune of Garth Brooks- "Friends in low places"
    • Blame it all on my boots, I stand above chutes
    • and look down on nothing but air
    • the last to get snow, the last one to know that your wood should be drier than hair
    • I saw the surprise, and the look in her eyes, when we stopped for that glass of champagne
    • Taco Bell in effect, Uncle Johns Fruit House said "heck!"
    • But you'll never hear me accept any blame......

    • 'Cause I stand tall over low places
    • where the cows all fart, and the smell chases
    • my blues away, and I'll be okay
    • Hey, I'm not big on muddy laces
    • think I'll not walk through those muddy spaces
    • Oh I stand tall, over low places
20 minutes of my life I'll never get back, but don't regert. ;)

    Pallet Pete, we love you.

It's going to be 88 degrees here with mid to upper 80's the rest of the week.

    We'll get our snow eventually.

That too. The Hawaiian designation is a bit warmer of a reference though.

That is a stunning picture. I think all the grass and hair detail stand out better in that b/w version. The background is awesome too.

Mine is happening Friday... Suppose to drop off supplies on Thursday... Which shingles did you get? They kinda of look like what I've got, just a different color....

Most kind of you - Thanks!
The image was taken with just an iPhone 6s. It took me a while to get close enough to the beast for full frame, but get there we did :binoculars:

Owens Corning Duration, Driftwood is the color. I bought seconds from a guy who buys semi loads and sorts them. Even compared to contractor price from my roofer, I saved 1k on ice guard and shingles. This is a 36sq roof.

I had to be around the first day to shuttle shingles to the roof, but once they got the back done and the front dried in, we set a couple boards up on the front side of the peak and stacked most of them there. I would bring some to the eves when they were working the lower courses.

They figured 4 days to complete, but with being able to move my dump trailer around during tear off and having shingles at their finger tips when starting on the lower runs, they are going to wrap up around 1-2pm today. They had some real labor savings. They are knocking off $500 from the bill.
