The wildfires in Montana have really smoked us out the last few weeks. I am curious who else is seeing or smelling them. I live roughly 500 miles from the fires and depending on the day we can see smoke, our sinuses are burning and some days can even smell burned wood. I feel bad for everyone dealing with the fires. Here are a few pics of the smoke we have. Too bad that Harvey didn't share any rain with them.

For comparison these were taken a while back looking in the same direction. 20170701_211308.jpg 20170701_205046.jpg

According to our weather peeps here in Indiana our sunset last evening was screened from the smoke. It appeared extra red yesterday....just like the above pics.

Ironically we were questioning why the sunset was so red yesterday. I wouldn't have guessed it was from the fire.
I hope they get it under control quickly. Stay safe!

Front range in Colorado has been hazy for a few weeks.
Sunday was bad. Yesterday could not go out.

At least one of the Montana fires has crossed the border into British Columbia to add to the fires we have going up here.

Sunday and Monday were bad here too, could not see the mountain right next to me. And, we stayed inside the holiday weekend  We already unhooked the A/C too.

My girlfriend with the lung transplant lives in Helena, she's been stuck in the house for weeks and weeks now. I asked her to come stay with us, heck, bring the whole family, but the two little boys they adopted have to attend school. Very tough situation!!

Smokey here from fires in WA and maybe BC. I worked on my 4runner yesterday and this morning. It has a layer of ash on it that fell over night.

Took these yesterday. Although we are 500 miles away we were under a air quality advisory. Sun was hardly visible at times. These were about 5 pm. 20170913_171312.jpg 20170913_171257.jpg

I see rain and snow forecast for mountains so that should help a lot.
