The ground froze enough again for me and dad to get back into the fields and haul some more logs. Of course it's supposed to snow 6-12" sunday into monday so we grabbed a nice load today. Gonna eat some lunch and get back out there to buck up those logs
    :axe:

Here's what we were after. There's two more good size leaders that ya can't see in the pic.

That's a good looking haul! It's a good thing we are towards the end of winter, after the snows go away you can get right back out there.

    Red oak.

Yea oslo we've been working around mother nature for quite a while now. Freeze, thaw, freeze, thaw and of course snow and rain on top of all that. Makes gettin to the wood kinda tough but we're gettin it out slowly.

Funny thing is, i cut those three limbs off in the field and left the rest attached to the log until we got it home. While dad had the log on the forks i decided to cut the funky end off. It landed just how you see it and dad yelled "hey nice chair"! I made good use of it last night around the fire :drunk:
