Can't agree more Woodwidow. Wife and I have been married 55 years now and hate being apart.

I did like working for him and I am a little sad, but it's time. I work second shift so I don't see my wife when she gets home from work.

wow, that is a bold move for you, but it is a very good one. I retired from my main job at age 53. I was asked to stay on, but like you, I had other priorities at home that needed my attention. Finally got my wife to retire. Now, we don't know how we ever had time to work! Enjoy your time together, make plans and follow through with them as best you can. There will be lumps and bumps that will come along. That is why it is so important to pay attention to your home life.

Perfect evening to clean the flex liner and the wind was going away from me. The cap only had maybe a 1/4 cup of the usual dark soot. The cap screening looked great, everything was weathertight.

The rest of the flue had about a half cup of the lighter brown soot. I am pretty happy about it.

We are just starting to get the rain this AM. No idea how bad the wind will get but imagine it will be pretty tame, albeit wet, for the next few days. School is out for today.

Windy here this morning. Had company show up and stay yesterday. They hope to go whale watching today. Should be a fun day out on the water. There has been quite a variety of whales in our area this past couple of weeks. Orcas, humpbacks and minke with lots of sea lions and dolphins. Not a lot of fish so they are swarming into the same areas looking for feed.

That is one beautiful area you two live in. Do you get many bad storms there Woodwidow?

My sister lives outside of Seattle in Redmond area. They get quite a bit of rain throughout the year. I imagine it's the same weather for you?

I had the Today show on for an hour, no mention of 9/11.

    God Bless America.

That's sad wildwest I had College friend that never came out of Cantor Fitzgerald ... Matt son, I guarantee you has not forgot... he's 29 now and currently deployed somewhere in the sandbox.. his mom called me earlier today.. just to say hi... She moved back to Canada afterwards (western province ) her son then 11 or 12 took every martial art class and Farsi and Arabic lessons on internet.. also got physical requirements for marines and did them every day...much to her complete dismay.. she asked me to talk him out of his decision.. when he was 17...I did try because it was her wish.. he was set on his path.. MY heart breaks for this woman.. lost her love, and she insists her son to terrorist..

    We should remember ..

Will Chvymn99 ... Matt Son not mine (although i got his back).. keeping it a little genric on purpose .. just tried to help fill a void for a year or two.

read between lines, if your will.. he speaks several middle eastern languages ... joined marine corps.. right out of High school.. been in country a long time meaning multiple tours.. at least 9 months a year..

last year met them down in NYC for private ceremony... which we (several college dorm mates and I) do every 5 years.. it's tough his mother carries his 4th grade picture when he looked young and innocent (didn't we all at 10yo)

His answer is simple, cleaned version, these %#* took my father and my childhood away from me.. they attacked me at my home.. I will do same to them. But I only engage combatants not civilians or children.
