The weather was cool enough today for some heavy work on the BIG stuff the tree service dumped last spring. Ash on the left and red oak on the right. Two huge oak logs and two huge ash logs in the background. The new 25 ton County Line splitter conquered everything I fed it, and I didn't even try to be nice to it! Man, I wish my 661 started as easy as the Kohler motor on the splitter. I was concerned about the the Kohler motor when I bought the splitter because of the trouble I had with one of their generators. But this bad boy is a one pull start.
You're really liking that splitter aren't you? Nice looking machine. The Kohler on mine starts first pull all the time too, even after sitting a few months in the garage. It's even made in China.
Those big ones are kind of a bear to wrestle around, but man they make a lot of splits to stack up buddy:stacke: Hydraulics rule
Way to get after the big stuff. They take some work to get into the stacks for sure! Well worth it in the end, Ralphie Boy ! Hope the weather holds out and you get it all cleaned up! :stacke::stacke:
Nice Ralphie Boy I've had a few Kohler motors and all have been good ones and all have been easy start too. Well, mostly. Some of them if left sit for months might take a bit longer to start but usually a couple pulls then will do it.
Time & A "back " saver too. The older we get, the more we enjoy hydraulics. Makes wood processing a lot more fun .
