    We're back!


    Got back home around 230pm today.
    Had an absolute fantastic time with my new wife.

    First night we went to a place in Northbrook IL called Sybaris.
    Freaking place was great, basically our own little home..
    Private pool, Jacuzzi tub, hot tub, steam shower, place was awesome.
    2nd day we went indoor sky diving!
    Ive wanted to sky dive for years but havent been able to due to my weight.
    Im only about 30lbs off... Anyways, she booked us an indoor sky diving lesson and
    it was freaking awesome. I just got done buying a couple photos and 2 videos from
    our visit.

    Oh God. Today's trip home from the northwoods to home was STUPID! Most of the bad drivers had the same Illinois plates that yoop's saw.

    Shagbark hickory, huh? My favorite. So you've never burned it before? If not you'll love it when it's ready.

    Not much work was done today but we did head south for a ride, this spot is on Route 3 just outside of Cranberry Lake NY.

    I only had a piece or two that I had used for smoke flavoring. Also got a mini fridge and microwave for no cost, so had to leave room in the truck for those extra items. Gonna put them in the workshop.

    While on the two lane stretch south of Iron Mt. we met one string of cars that were 32 long! this was well before noon, I can only imagine how much worse it got by afternoon/ evening! Some people lose their consideration while driving....hope there were no bad accidents.

    Going in for the water pump replacement this morning. Can't wait for that engine to stop sounding like a coffee percolator!

    Going to take a quick look for the repair bill from a few years back to see if it is indeed a lifetime warranty or not....thanks for the remind Horkn

    After our wild weekend of holidaying, it is back to work for me. First day this week is just teachers and staff, tomorrow - bedlam. By Friday it won't be too bad. It is amazing the energy level in the building when the students get back into the flow of school. All those new grade 8s in high school and the "mature" grade 12s in their last year.

    Score! Found the receipt for the water pump..2011 installed.

    As close as I can tell, I probably had around 120K on the first one (original) and then the replacement failed at 257K.

    The impellers on this pump were in great shape with no visible wear at all.....just the bearing/bushing shot to heck.

    Ended up saving the cost of a new pump!
