are you sure they hooked everything up right with the transmission sounds like either a ground or intermittent safety switch

Thanks for the advice. I believe it is charging. I had slightly over 14v, which is what I would expect on the voltage gauge when I was driving to the store.
That is what I figured yesterday, but am leaning away from this. On the first click of the ignition switch, I get the radio and the ding, ding, ding warning that the keys are in the ignition. I get no movement of the gauges. I am kind of leaning towards the ignition switch at this time. Time will tell.

We had a Rambler station wagon when I was a kid that had this "feature", you could only start the car if you held the gear shifter in exactly the right spot, so my father decides that no one will ever be able to steal this car so he'd leave the keys in the ignition all the time...must've been a common "feature" for that car cause someone stole it

Awesome Ah-ha moment this afternoon. Not sure which thread recently, but the discussion was about chips in the drier and fire.
I'm a garage changer myself, like others.
A week ago I had to get rid very ripped Levi's for the next less ripped pair I own.
So I've been cutting with the new 562, almost coincident with the new less ripped pants.
15 minutes into work I feel chips on my legs and into my socks a week ago. (Wearing my chaps)
During the week I get the same chip sensation.
I'm figuring that this new saw is throwing chips like crazy. What a great saw to be a able get them in my pants like the 353 or 350 couldn't.
Finally, today I went out back to finish up the maple and soon my legs and boots started the same new routine with the chips.
Thanks for hanging in there; the Ah-ha was when in noticed a big hole in the crotch of the new cutting pants and the 562 was hitting the mark.
I had to kill the saw and sit.

On my drive 1/2 way across the U.P. today, i saw the following.

Immature eagle (didn't have its colors yet, just the size of an adult) that I had to slow down and change lanes to avoid.

Multiple deer...one that I had to brake hard to avoid.

    One bear-small one.

The sand hill cranes are out in force...must be ready to head south? Never used to have them around here years ago.

    A couple partridge.

One owl on a telephone pole!

    Two hawks.

The highway construction projects are winding up now, too.

I swear I read this in the song of- On the first day of Christmas. It didn't quite work but was close.

"At the half point of Dave's drive, a few things he did see...."
