We have a thread for ''black rifles" but we don't have a thread til now for other rifles. Here is my Thompson Center Compass in 6.5 Creedmor. So far it only has 20 rounds through it and I really like it. I ordered it last Monday and it came in Wednesday. stihl sawing I know you wanted to see pictures of it and I'm sure you have a "couple" pics to add to this thread.
Nice thunder stick. Care to describe the various enumerations of each rifle pic posted so that non-shooters may gain some knowledge?
It seems like it is. I don't have a place to shoot that far without going to a range. The guy that I had it transferred to said he liked that caliber. Last time I was there he said he was more into old guns so the 6.5 creedmor must be good for him to like it. I like that Browning. I want a 7mm mag.
I really like the Ruger American Rifle. The forearm feels really nice on them. How does the bipod attach? I see some that say they attach to the sling stud. How does that work?
I see stihl sawing is probably going to be the member on this thread with the most pictures! Hey brother more power to you! Chit you had to have build a separate building/safe just for all those toys! Heck yeahprobably a panic room the size of a house.
I dunno, that might be all for me, I do have a remington742 I don't have pic of. I'll see if I can get one of it. it stopped working on me one deer season and I never could find anyone that wanted to work on it. parts are obsolete for it. I looked many places and parts for it are rare, especially bolts. I wasn't even going to buy another and a guy at work ask me if I wanted to buy that browning. He had only had it about six months and I remembered when he bought it. He got into some financial trouble and needed the money. I ask him how much do you want and figured I was going to get a 1500 dollar or more answer. when he said 800 I told him you know that guns worth a whole lot more than that, he yeah but he needs the money fast and if I didn't buy it he was going to sell it for that to somebody else. so I bought it. Got home and looked up prices on it and everything that come with it and it was about 2500 bucks. well long story short I fixed the Remington myself after I bought the browning, but haven't used it. I took the scope off it and put on another. but the gun works now.
Here it is, not a good pic but I killed a lot of deer with it over the years. It's last shot was an nice eight point.
A 6-9 if from a bench or prone, will probably always be at the lowest setting. Bipods you can "cheap out" on. 40 dollars can get a decent functional bibod. Alot of people spend 100+ and I've seen no real difference for the money. 99% of them mount on a swivel stud or rail. First thing I'd do, is Chuck the optic it came with. I'd keep it as a spare or "range" glass for a shooting partner. For good glass you can easily (and should)spend more than you did on that rifle.
Eric VW what details are you exactly looking for.. caliber, free floating barrel, My grandfather besides being a Master plumber, electrician and airplane pilot was also a gunsmith... Now I live in VT which is a notoriously odd state Bernie Sanders is our senator but we have about the fewest gun laws of any state.. example no license is required for concealed carry of weapons.. I don't have manybut know friends and family that consider 100 plus normal..
This is a pretty decent bipod for a good price. I have one and don't hate it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O9RTF7Y/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
