The kid and I had watched the mini series called The Bible (I believe). We both really enjoyed the time together to watch and discuss the topics. So when we saw this movie come along, it was a easy yes that we wanted to go watch it. So watching the news Tonight the reviews gave it only 3 out of 5 popcorn bags. With tonight be being the opening night for it. I figured it would be packed since the mini series was so popular. Well, lets just say that room was pretty well packed. I thought the movie was really good, dont really want to go into details, so others can go watch it and form there own opinions.
How about a brief synopsis? Wife and I need a date night, this might be what we're after. Last movie we saw in a theatre was that informative movie by Dinesh D'Souza (sic)- she liked that one.
Did you watch the mini series? IMO... it tied the mini series together (parts of the mini series was in the movie but still worth it)... It basically ran through his life right before he got crucified in more detail than the mini series. But it was the beginning and the ending of the movie that interesting.... I'm thinking that there will be more stories from the Bible in the near future...
I didn't watch the series. I check out the local news in the morning, and the weather channel, that's about it. It sounds good, I'll figure out a dinner-n-movie thing. Thanks, JB
