It's really nice when you get to work with your son

Our eldest came for a short visit and today we got to work together. We cut down a couple of trees, worked up a food plot then worked at getting some limbs out of the creek. Had to pull them about 12' up then out. Thank the Lord for our tractor.

Sorry that I did not get pictures. Was more interested in spending time with my son. He mentioned this is the first time we worked together in the woods since about 1980. Wow! Where did the time go?

Here's Scotty Overkill cutting down a twin white oak last Spring. We were getting limbs out of the creek that dropped from this tree.

Here are some dead pines I cut before but there were 2 more we had to pull with the tractor so our son got onto the tractor while I cut.

Nice forks on that tractor. Very handy I'll bet.

Nothing better than working with family. I hope my first daughter remembers our working together fondly, and can't wait to make more memories with #2. It's a little early yet as she's still a few months away from her first birthday.. ;)

Awesome post, it brings back my own memories with my boys. I wish I thought of taking pics of those times. Sigh.

My boy will be 3 in October. He loves to "help" me with everything. It will be nice when his help means less work for me rather than more. But I'll take all the time I can get it goes way too fast

And the son I speak of is 54 now. Yes, the years go by super fast and they seem to speed up more every year.
