    Nice that the cool weather is here, at least temporarily. So we have more pines that no longer want to live and we've been wanting to get them down for too long. Yesterday I got started and took down a few. Still have 3 or 4 more to go but that won't take long.

    Yes, we basically live on a sand dune. Like anything else, there is both good and bad to it.

    :D..... Nice love to see that tractor is helping out you out.... I find many uses for my baby.... it's such a back saver...:thumbs:.... :bug:hopefully your not going to burn pine.... I've heard horrible things about burning that stuff....:emb:

    Perhaps it is just age killing them. We cut off most of them several years ago because so many were dieing off. Hoping not too many more die and thinking perhaps we should get a few rows planted next to them in case we lose what we have now. I like the wind block and it makes a great place for the deer to travel and also to bed and it is right close to the house.

    Nice tractor pics. Looking forward to a cool weekend. Mid 60 during the day and into the 40s at night forecasted.

    On a side note I didn't think one would be on a sand dune in MI, learn something new every day!

    No problem burning Pine, just be sure it's seasoned......like any other wood. Lived in Eastern Wyoming for a while and all I had was pine. It heated fine and no more trouble than any other wood I've burned.

    DONT BURN THAT PINE!!!! If you do your stove will get hot :picard: Your pets will all fly the coup :vulture:Your neighbors will come over and drink ALL your beer :cheers:Your saw will refuse to start :saw: and if that's not bad enough I will have to come get your tractor a give it a nice safe none pine burning home :tractor:

    What? Na, if u get pine split up n stacked, u should let it season out for over a year.. a lot say, firs and pines need only 6 mo. But that's why pine has bad rep. It's not the sap, it's the pitch. Water.. Get pine down to 15 and it will be swell. To mix in. Plus smells fabulous especially at Christmas time.
