I have mixed feelings about the cold weather coming...I look forward to it and despise it at the same time! I'm talking about you, January! It's so nice in the fall/early winter to fire up the stove on a cool day though.

Forecast is not so good. Looks like it could be a hot week next week.

Only ran the AC twice this year. Hardly worth it. Mostly ran it to get the humidity down. All this talk of the summer being hot. Must have missed me. Maine isn't known for being HOT. I have been enjoying the birds this year. Squirrels found my feeder so I set up a couple more so the birds didn't go without. I can wait on the heating season, but I will admit the house is more comfortable when there is heat in it.

I'm OK with cold. This summer hasn't been too hot, actually been out splitting and stacking which I don't normally bother with until late September. Night before last it was 49 degrees here.

Weve had several patchy frost days here recently but fortunately my house has avoided it. Im not ready for my garden to die yet. My beans could use a few more weeks. We are still getting quite hot around here with temps today up to 29c/84f. I love the start of burning season but Im good with it waiting. Im looking forward to fall fishing and cutting!
